Cresset BioMolecular
We have access to Cresset’s molecular field software for use in drug discovery. BioFocus and Cresset have been working together for three years on the design and synthesis of our FieldFocus™ libraries - focused libraries for ion channel drug discovery.
ZoBio
Zobio’s NMR screening platform and TINS technology, coupled with our structural biology gives an unprecedented new capability in fragment based drug discovery. ZoBio has extensive experience in fragment–based screening using its patented Target Immobilized NMR Screening (TINS) technology. TINS allows rapid screening of drug fragment libraries with high sensitivity using only a few mg of target protein. An additional advantage of TINS screening is that it can be achieved in a few weeks, accelerating the drug discovery process. View press release.
California Stem Cells
California Stem Cell, Inc. (CSC) supplies us, with its MOTORPLATE™ 96 assay-ready well plates, containing motor neuron progenitors (MNPs) derived from human embryonic stem cells (hESC). BioFocus uses the high purity, clinical grade human motor neurons to perform assay development and screening for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or “Lou Gehrig’s Disease”) drug discovery on behalf of The ALS Association’s TREAT ALS™ drug discovery and clinical trials program. Oncodesign
BioFocus and Oncodesign have joined forces to offer a comprehensive oncology drug discovery service. The alliance combines our medicinal chemistry and screening capabilities with Oncodesign’s pharmacological and biomarker expertise to provide a services unit specialized in the rapid generation of promising anticancer drug candidates. Optibrium
Access to Optibrium’s in silico optimization platform, StarDrop, allows us to guide compound selection and design to achieve an optimal balance of properties. The interface makes it easy to integrate data from predictive models and experimental databases, allowing resources to be focused on compounds most likely to yield success. BioFocus is the only chemistry service provider with access to StarDrop to support its drug discovery services.
