Jackie Macritchie, PhD: Senior Director, Medicinal Chemistry
Dr. Jackie Macritchie is Senior Director, Medicinal Chemistry at BioFocus having worked with the company since 2000. Before working at BioFocus, Jackie spent eight years with Aventis Cropscience (formally Schering Agrochemicals) working mainly in the fungicide area. Jackie led a multidisciplinary team of chemists, biologists and formulation scientists to drive active leads through research and into development. At BioFocus, Jackie has a track record of success in managing multiple collaborative programs with client companies, ranging from large pharma to specialized biotech companies. She has extensive experience in programs ranging from early stage hit-to-lead through to late stage lead optimization based on kinase, GPCR, ion channel and transporter targets. Jackie obtained her PhD from the University of Strathclyde in 1991.
