  • NIH extends agreement with BioFocus DPI

    The U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) have extended their agreement with Galapagos’ service division BioFocus DPI for the operation of the Molecular Libraries Small Molecule Repository (MLSMR) until December 2010. According to the terms of this agreement, BioFocus DPI will receive more than $9 million (€5.7 million) over the course of the two year extension.

  • BioFocus DPI signs new compound management agreement

    BioFocus DPI will provide compound management and related services to Sepracor Inc., a leader in respiratory and central nervous system disorder medicines. Under the terms of the agreement, BioFocus DPI will receive, register, and store selected compounds from Sepracor’s proprietary compound library, and plate and replicate these compounds for a period of three years.

  • BioFocus DPI to perform medicinal chemistry services for UCL research project

    Galapagos NV (Euronext: GLPG) announced today that is has signed a drug discovery research agreement with UCL (University College London). Galapagos’ BioFocus DPI service division will perform medicinal chemistry services for a UCL research project. It is also intended that BioFocus DPI will offer UCL ADME screening facilities during the appropriate stages of the work.

  • Galapagos and Allergan enter drug discovery collaboration

Total contract value for Galapagos could reach up to €1.3 million over the next 12 months, contingent on the number of BioFocus DPI compounds screened.

  • BioFocus DPI releases five new compound libraries

    BioFocus DPI today introduces new FieldFocus and SoftFocus libraries that were created with advanced modeling tools. The libraries consist of novel drug-like compounds specifically targeted towards kinases and voltage-dependent ion channels.   • BioFocus DPI to distribute NIH’s Clinical Compound Collection

    BioFocus DPI, a Galapagos Company, announces the launch of the U.S. National Institutes of Health Clinical Compound Collection (NCC). The collection currently contains 446 bioactive compounds, most of which are known drugs. The NCC is managed and distributed through BioFocus DPI’s Compound Management facility, home to the NIH’s Molecular Libraries Small Molecule Repository.
