Social networking tools are a way to share web pages which interest you with likeminded people. If you subscribe to one of these services, you can use them to keep track of your bookmarks on different computers, or to show other people what you've been reading.
You'll need to register on the appropriate sites to use these services, but it's quick and free and many other websites support them.
